22.08.2022 What's New:
Security vulnerabilities have been addressed.

Follow the MCS template migration path from the Upgrades and Migrations section to upgrade the template from 6.71 to 6.82 or 6.72 to 6.82. Upgrade the MCS template before you upgrade the probe.

Fixed Defects:
  • The name of the Disk Usage Delta metric is consistent across the MCS template, Metric viewer, and Alarm Message. Support case 32893965
  • Increased the threshold limit (Ten Nines ~8 GB) for Network Inbound, Outbound, and Aggregate metrics in the NIC_monitor template. Support case 32984060
  • CDM probe generates reboot alarms when the robot machine restarts through the vSphere tool. Support case 32937703
  • Added capability to monitor the disks configured using Disk(s) template under Default Disk(s) without interruption after CDM probe restarts on Linux machines. Support case 32869387
  • Unwanted alarms (related to memory/swap) won’t be generated when the profile has been created through the MCS template. Support case 33108364

Allow custom values for all QoS Interval fields on CDM MCS templates (Legacy and Enhanced)

label name : QoS Interval (Number of Intervals)

Existing field "QoS Interval" is renamed with label "QoS Interval (Number of Intervals)" and now it is editable to supply custom value (between 1 to 999).

The value specified in this field is multiplied by the Interval above to determine the monitoring interval between each sample collection. For example, if the Interval is set to 5 minutes and the number selected for this field is 2, then the average CPU usage for the last 10 minutes is displayed in the generated QoS metric.

Note :
No Dependencies/Prerequisites.
Deploy cdm_mcs_templates v6.55 and activate template package to 6.55.

Template Migration support:
CDM Enhanced MCS template 6.54 to CDM Enhanced MCS template 6.55
CDM Legacy MCS template 1.46 (6.54) to CDM Legacy MCS template (1.47) 6.55

Description:

  • Added "Disk(s) Alarms" legacy MCS template for Disk Alarm Monitoring Configuration. It supports creation of multiple profiles to manage multiple Threshold.
  • Added "Memory Alarms" legacy MCS template for Memory Alarm Monitoring Configuration.
  • Added "CPU Alarms" legacy MCS template for CPU Alarm Monitoring Configuration.
  • Minimum probe version upgraded to 6.50-MC for all the legacy MCS templates.

Notes:

  1. Deploy 6.54 cdm mcs templates directly and create new legacy MCS profile on that. We do not support Legacy profile migration or upgrade from previous template package 6.50 for CDM legacy MCS template.
  2. For creating new MCS profiles on this version, user should have a 6.50-MC CDM package in their archive or deployed on robot.
  3. To publish the alarms for legacy MCS template, configuration field "Sent Alarm on Each Sample" should be enabled.
  4. In case of regular expressions checkbox enabled in "Disk(s) Alarms" legacy MCS template, "Disk size (MB)" value under "File System Information" is displayed based on the "select filesystem" value. No impact of this on Regular expression functionality and it works as expected.

  • Updated the version to be in sync with the probe version.

Note: Ensure that you deploy the MCS 9.0.2 HF1 hotfix before you deploy the cdm 6.34 MCS templates. With this hotfix, while loading probe templates available in a probe templates package, MCS ignores those templates that have the same version already present in the database; it proceeds with the loading of the remaining templates. Previously, if MCS found any template with the same version already present in the database, MCS was putting the complete probe templates package in the error state, and it was not loading the remaining templates.
