What's New:
- Optimized resource utilization/consumption by eliminating the ned to create any new device, configuration, and metric files under the niscache folder.
- Updated this probe as part of addressing known vulnerabilities in DX UIM by upgrading the following third-party libraries:
- OpenSSL to 3.0.16
- SQLite to 3.46.0
Note: Create a probe discovery queue with the subject "probe_discovery" on each secondary hub if it is not present already. Without the queue, the RSP inventory present in the secondary hub won’t be sent to the primary hub.
Fixed Defects:
- Resolved an issue where the probe GUI is crashing during discovery with default configuration. (Support case: 35719682)

What's New:
- The Logsize and Maximum Data Collection Threads fields are enabled in the Setup RSP (Enhanced) template. This allows the user to edit the values.
Fixed Defects:
- Resolved an issue where file systems were not consistently excluded from monitoring. (Support Case 35411492)
- Fixed an issue where enabling only "CPU Average Total Usage" and "Individual CPU Total Usage" metrics in the CPU (Enhanced) template profile caused additional metrics (Idle, Wait, System, User) to be collected. This is corrected in the 5.58 MCS template package. (Support Case 35584190)
- The default threshold configuration for QOS_DISK_USAGE_PERC is updated in the default alarm policy. Previously, the configuration was set to <20% for a Minor alarm and <10% for a Major alarm. It is now changed to >80% for a Major alarm and >90% for a Critical alarm.
- Resolved an issue where the rsp probe was not collecting Individual CPU-related metrics for Solaris OS.

What's New:
- Support for the filtering of disks from Monitoring.
- Improved Performance, Reduced noise and cluttering.
- New MCS template v5.50 with:
- Support for enabling filtering for disks in Legacy and Enhanced MCS templates.
- Support for multiple processes and services profiles within one group profile for both Legacy MCS and Enhanced MCS templates (Setup rsp).
- New features to the Legacy MCS template and few template issue fixes.
- Changes in the UI field labels for the disk usage.
- Newer kernel version support for different Unix like OS and Fixed Multiple crash issues with RSP.
- Passphrase is optional for RSA Keyless SSH authentication for both Legacy MCS and Enhanced MCS Template (Setup rsp).
- Support to modify the QOS Source and Target for RSP Enhanced MCS Template (Setup rsp).
- Template Migration
- Legacy MCS template 5.35 to Legacy MCS template 5.50
- Enhanced MCS template 5.35 to 5.50
After migration from MCS template 5.35 to MCS template 5.50, all the processes and windows services gets deactivated/disabled at group level in the setup rsp MCS Template. In this case, you must delete the existing profile and create a new profile. Multiple processes and windows services profiles can be created within one group profile for both Legacy MCS and Enhanced MCS Template (Setup rsp). The same behavior occurs in both UIM 20.1 and UIM 20.3.2 environments.
Fixed Defects:
- Fixed an issue related to wrong tagging of name on RSP probe disk metric. Support Case: 20021872
- Fixed an issue where rsp probe does not collect the data. Internal Defect: DE467386, DE470965
- Fixed an issue where alarms are sent for the individual CPUs when the monitoring is enabled for aggregate CPUs. Internal Defect: DE467389
- Fixed the alarms interval issue where the alarms are triggered immediately though the average interval is set as "2" for CPU, Memory, disk alerts. Internal Defect: DE470237
- Fixed an issue related to the UIM critical alarms triggered when the file system reaches 100% space. This critical alarm does not get cleared in the UIM console, though the free space is increased in the file system. Internal Defect: DE468341

What's New:
- The rsp probe now supports SHA2 encryption for authenticating Windows, Linux, and AIX servers it monitors. Any remote machine which has SSH server configured with SHA2 or SHA1 encryption can be monitored using rsp now.
A new parameter ‘support_SHA1’ had been added to the probe configuration with default value ‘TRUE’. Set the ‘support_SHA1’ parameter to FALSE, to prohibit the rsp probe from connecting to or monitoring remote machines having SSH server configured with SHA1 encryption. You can also configure this parameter using the rsp MCS template.
- Updated this probe as part of removing dependency on the end-of-life (EOL) Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable in CA UIM 9.0.2.
If you are installing rsp v5.33 on remote machines running MS Windows OS, we recommend you to download the appropriate MS Visual Studio 2017 Redistributable package from the Nimsoft archive. For more information see Additional Information section in Install UIM Server.
